Tasks at work

It is interesting how many things come up at work. It doesn't matter how slow you think the day is going to be, with out a doubt some task will come up and prevent you from doing what you had originally planned on doing. Between now and the end of this month I have 34 things that are on my list of things to do. Some of the things are very easy but some are more time consuming. The only good news is that I am able to delegate to some of the people that work for me.

Another thing that came up today was the fact that one of my troops who is about to deploy also got orders to Misawa, Japan. The way his orders were given meant that he would have only had a week or two to sell his house, pack things, and move to Japan. To help him out the Airfield Manager called his counterpart in Japan to see if his "report no later than date" (RNLTD) could be pushed to the right a couple of months. This was just one of the many things that ended up getting in the way of a fairly structured day.
